Your “LIFE PLATE”: MAKING SENSE of feeling Overwhelmed:

Ever experience that scenario where you have your days planned, you’re kicking ass and taking names and things are going pretty well and you are moving in the right direction in life? But then all of a sudden find yourself backing off from certain tasks or commitments and saying things like “Sorry I have to cancel” or “Sorry I am gonna have to pass” or just not show up or follow through at all?
Let’s MAKE-SENSE of this for a second here and perhaps find a breakthrough.
Let’s imagine that all the things you want and need to get done to move your ship forward were the same thing as food? Why is it that yesterday, we find the clarity and courage to place food on our “Life Plate” and do so with full clarity that you intend to eat it and need it and want it and see it as exactly what your stomach needs to be happy? But then something happens! Sometimes even hours later or the next day decide that it’s too much food and you no longer can eat it. Followed by starting to strategically and apologetically remove items one by one from our plate with the same level of certainty that we had when we put them on yesterday? Simply put, you strategically convince yourself and others that you are no longer hungry to eat that food and it’s now too much!!
This is a metaphor that affects us all on a daily basis and the good news is that you CAN do something about it. Well, if you want to.
After learning this you may decide that you prefer to continue standing in the way of your success and that’s what is so cool about success, happiness and fulfillment. It’s a choice and it’s yours.
So how do we continue to eat the food we have put on our LIFE PLATE even when the little liar and ill intention-ed messengers of “you can’t” are swooping down out of the sky like Fire Breathing Dragons? How do we SLAY THESE DRAGONS and complete the task and move past GO and collect $200?
In affect become a DRAGON SLAYER? It’s pretty profound but simple. Just become conscious of them and what they really are. When that dragon begins to swoop down and passively communicate with your mind like a puppet, telling you there is too much on your plate, recognize that like a broken record, you are hitting your Hidden Barrier.

In this case the one that tells you there is too much to handle and has the “Little Liar” in your head tell you that you are overwhelmed and must abort the mission. Become aware that it is happening and embrace the fact that it was created by you and engineered to be a safety valve to make sure you don’t go to the place where you might fall or fail. Also recognize that yesterday, you placed all the items on your Life Plate for a very specific reason? To move forward and uncover more success, happiness, health and fulfillment.
Here is the secret to moving forward today. When the dragons show up and the Little Liar begins to tell you what to do, look at it with Joyful Eyes and realize that you created this safety valve and you are about to upgrade your current reality to a more fulfilled place, which is achieved by simply recognizing that it’s GO TIME and that moment is a gift of growth. You know, many of the people I coach in their health goals or business goals claim that this process of never moving forward and always falling own is exhausting and sucks the life out of them. I frequently reply with the reality that this process was actually fabricated by them so in actuality they are sucking the life out of themselves.
